Hi Allen!
I first of all want to say I'm a big fan of your playing, your lines and phrasing are killer and you have a beautiful touch on the instrument!
I had the pleasure of backing up your boy Jeff Kashiwa when he was in Tampa, Fl last time he was here and I got to do some homework checking out your stuff out on some live radioshow you guys did out somewhere in California, very nice indeed! Jeff is such a nice and laidback cat and a solid player.
After hearing you I'm reminded of the importance of righteous tone again!
I was wondering if you would mind sharing how you set your deluxe reverb. I just got a hold of an old 67' deluxe reverb and I'm still experimenting with different settings. Also what channel do you use when you play it ? Do you use different a channel when you use the Les Paul versus the strat? I've fund that my 335 makes the amp break up almost instantly. So far I'm mostly using my strat through this amp and it sounds beautiful! My challenge though is dialing in a good sound on the amp especially the treble; when I start using my stompboxes ts-9, ts-808 or the barber direct drive the sounds gets a little "cardboardy" I've been playing a Vibro-King and a evil Twin up till this point and had no problems dialing up sweet tones, this amp is a bit more challenging....
Any insight on this matter would be highly appreciated, thanks in advance
