Hi folks,

Just thought I would drop a line about my experience with this guitar.
I only just bought it, as I was looking for a guitar with similar construction to Brett' but a little cheaper.

This guitar is extraordinary. Check it out at -
http://www.schecterguitars.com/spec.asp?id=3
http://www.harmony-central.com/Guitar/Data4/Schecter/C_1_Classic-1.html

The photo doen't do the guitar justice. It has a finish like a top line PRS. I am sure that at that price, it wont have as many coats of lacquer, but boy it looks good.

I have setup the action really low - about the height of a 5 cent piece (1.3mm) on the low E at the 12th fret, and there is no fret buzz.

Whether this is just a good one, or they are all like it - I don't know.

For$1300 AUS (have seen them for under $600 US) you get -

Seymour Duncan SH1 and SH4 pickups.
Grover machine heads.
Neck through body construction.
Quilted maple top.
5 way switch - with PRS style sounds.
Nice weight and balance.

Very similar to a Horizon.

I have been looking at the C1+ left handed model. They look like a fine guitar. Still waiting for prices from a few shops and the wait time on an order is 8-12 weeks.

Definately looks like a great buy! Smile

Cheers,
Shane

Yep,

cool guitars with great features those Schecters.

Andrew, I thought the C1 classic has a duncan Jazz (SH2) in the neck?

I have a 006 Blackjack which is basically the same guitar as a C1 Classic exept for the Duncan 59 in the neck, the body form and the finish.
Oh, and I don't have that vine of life inlay.
Anyway i really like it. Great sound and playability.
Have fun with it Andrew

Stephan

PS: I forgot the best thing: they build them for us leftys. Very Happy
