Hello everyone, hello Brett! (in case you read this)
Anyone knows? Is it really the SD Jeff Beck in bridge position and the 59 in the neck position? (Doesn't sound like the JB in my opinion.)
Thanks in advance,

It's the Virtual PAF in the bridge and the Bluesbucker in the neck position. |

Thanks, that's quite a difference.
I've been your fan for some years now. Some nice guy gave me exempt and quid pro quo, which are probably my favourite fusion rock albums ever, along with Bozzio Levin Stevens - Situation Dangerous. It's a pity your albums are unavailble now! I'd buy 5 copies right away.
The new Uncle Moe's is also killer, I like it much better than the first one. Nevertheless I loved TJ's singing and the unique, but more pop oriented song writing with those incredible melodies on the first albums.
You are one of the few players that have a big impact on my playing and the 4 note per string exercises really help to get smootlhly up and down the fretboard. I think I tend to overuse it a bit
Best wishes |

I think the "off the shelf" Garsed ESP Horizons have SD JBs and 59s but Brett's actual axe has DiMarzio Virtual PAF(bridge) and Bluesbucker(neck).
I also think that the original Garsed ESP had SD Antiquity(bridge) and PhatCat(neck) which were replaced due to endorsment issues. _________________ Its not what you play, but how you play it... |

ESP's always ship with either Duncans or EMG's but I'm Dimarzio all the way so the first thing I did was replace the pickups. Steve Blucher at Dimarzio worked with me until I found the perfect pickups for the Horizon. |

The bluesbucker looks really strange with the screws in the middle and not at the edge like in all the other humbuckers. |

The screws on mine are to one side so I'm not sure what pickup you're looking at. I just received a new Bluesbucker from DiMarzio and the screws are to one side, not in the middle.
Who cares what it looks like anyway? It's the sound that matters. |

I looked at the picture at your website. Doesn't matter though, like you said.
Probably you've heard this question before, but: how is it possible to switch from an ash t*** with single coils to a mahogany guitar and achieve a similar sound? |

I checked the photo on the site and those pickups are the Duncans it was shipped with. I can't remember the models but I changed them immediately anyway. The Bluesbucker has the pole pieces to one side so sorry for the mixup.
The Horizon has a much fatter sound than the t*** but it's difficult to tell how much unless I play them on the same gig. A majority of our sound is in ourselves as well, regardless of what gear we use. |

No need for apologies. Not all the great guitar players take the time to answer stupid gear questions in the internet, so thank you. |
