hey guys, just thought i'd give an FYI ... for any of you fellow MI Audio fans who may have purchased one of the original Crunch Boxes...

I sent mine back to michael and the gang to be modified to the new updated circuit (call it the mark II if you will!)...

virdict, SO worth the enormous roughly $25.00 it cost me.

The original pedal was a bit too muddy/bassy/boomy, whatever term you like to use. I used the updated pedal on the weekend and it's now everything I was after. Combine it with the Tube Zone and it's simply blow a hole in the wall material Wink

Rock on fellow rockers.

Smile

I thought the only difference the new version had from the original was the different volume pot to cut down the over all amount of volume the pedal had.

nope, considerable change to the tone sweep, plus the addition of an internal trim pot for more tonal variation.
