I think I'm going to drive in on Saturday and just party my ass off all night, then drive back home Sunday morning.
There is a Codetalkers show on 9/16 at the Coda after the WSP show. My advice would be to skip outformation and hit that due to some special suprises that are in the works. I had planned on the cruise too, but with BLR and the boys that close, who knows who will show! _________________

Ok Jaystraw,
Here are my questions for you.
First off the Outformation Cruises are the 14th. and 15th. not the 16th. So there is no conflict there.
Of course Slopeside and I would like to go to the Coda show. We do fly out at 8:30am on the 17th., though.
2nd. There is a post on Taperssection by Larry Narachi that is asking for a taper to do a Matrix at the "Knitting Factory" on the 15th. to help pay some of the Col's medical expenses.
Who is playing at this show?
Here is the post. I am contacting Larry today. I met him on Jamcruise 3.
taper needed for Sept 15th Knitting Factory (post Panic show) Benefit

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hey now
There will be a benefit show on Sept 15th at the Knitting Factory in NYC after the Widespread Panic concert for Col Bruce Hamptons medical expenses. The band is requesting someone capable of mastering a matrix recording - they are looking for stage/soundboard/audience matrix.
You and your guest/crew would have to be able to get to the venue in the afternoon for load in - introductions - soundman connections - soundcheck, etc. Then after the Panic show, the gig starts (late show)
You would get to contribute to a great cause, they will give you 100 bucks plus and two guest passes.
You would FULL COOPERATION from the venue/soundman/band to capture this live show
the people putting this on would also like to package the recording for another source of revenue to help out the Colonel. Therefor you wouldn't be able to torrent your recording - they would like your master files right after the show in fact.
PLease contact me directly at lnarachi@narachi.com for more information..thanks highly in advance!

OK, first off, thank you for correcting me on the Outformation dates! My mistake!
What happened was that I heard from a friend that there was a "stealth" benefit show in NYC after one of the WSP shows. I mistakenly assummed it was the Codetalkers show. It looks like I was wrong and it is actually, as you correctly stated, at the Knitting Factory on the 15th and not too stealthy.
Sooooooo...IMHO, I say to go to this show over Outformation show on the 15th, but the Codetalkers show on the 16th should still be amazing and may have special guests (not that I have any actual knowledge of any). _________________

That would mean
wsp>Outfo411
wsp>Col. Bruce Benefit
wso>Codetalkers and guests
I don't think my body can handle that.
I'm getting way to old.
Not to mention, we fly from Colorado>NYC leaving thursday at 12:05am, and fly out of NYC Sunday at 8:30am
I am glad I took a day off after this. _________________ MK4>ORTF>KC5>CMC6>kindkables>SPDIF>V3>MT 24/48 |

I know what you mean man. This is my schedule for the next 2 weeks:
9/15 Friday WSP (hopefully)
9/15 Friday late night Col. Bruce Benefit (hopefully?)
9/16 Saturday WSP
9/16 Saturday late night Codetalkers
9/19 WSP Burlington Vt.
9/20 WSP Manchester NH
9/22 WSP Boston MA
9/23 WSP Ct.
and I have to work ever workday during that, and we have to go to Cape Cod after Boston to a wedding on Saturday 9/23, and then drive to Ct. for the WSP show that night.
I'm WAY to old to do all this!!
I'll give it my best though!! _________________

Man- I sure wish that Knitting Factory benefit was on a Saturday or Sunday. I could bring up all sorts of fun things to multi-track record that like I did for the Asheville and Athens reunion shows a few years ago. Grrr... |

Might be that the for-sale sites (shutterfly, snapfish, ofoto, etc.) block that from happening? Wonder if Photobucket might not work. |

No, you can post on any other discussion forum through shuttterfly, except those made with this format.
It works on:
www.digitalpanic.org
www.panicfreaks.org
but not on this forum or Jamcruise forum.
I have never figured out why.
See ya at RCMH. _________________ MK4>ORTF>KC5>CMC6>kindkables>SPDIF>V3>MT 24/48 |
