| For those who have never heard this band, you absolutely must. They have a unique blend of metal, blues, prog rock, fusion and occasionally blue grass, many say they are the next reincarnation of phish but i tend to believe they are alot more technically advanced than phish. They have two guitarists jake and brendan.....both are extremely talented players especially jake. |

Yes, I am a total Umphreak. I've seen them 4 times this year so far. They have just consistently blown me away. They are the future of music as far as I'm concerned. What are some of your favorite shows?

I saw UM for the first time at SmileFest this year. They played 2 sets on seperate days, I only saw the first day. I thought they were pretty good, but didn't really grab me. But when I finally listened to the recording of the second day's set I was blown the F away. These guys are so tight, a must hear for all.

Most hardcore UM fans (such as myself) report that they were initially underwhelmed. When I first heard them I thought they were just "OK." Many people (also including myself) also don't like the vocals at first, but they really grow on ya after a while.
Now, I fucking worship this band. I've seen them more times in a shorter period than any other band. 4 times this year so far, and again next friday! Can't wait!
