| Just about to leave work and head up to Athens for the ARU show. I'm totally pumped about this one. Its been far too long since I've seen these guys play together. Meeting a few friends at 8 to "get right" and then heading to the GA Theater. I'll let you guys know how it went tomorrow. |

ARUjefff...I think there is someone going with a firend who may be taping....I can always ask my "inside sourse" for a copy (possibly!!!)

Absolutely Incredible! The band hit the stage around 10:45 and proceeded to blow the roof off the place. All I could do was stand there and smile!  Everone was in top form and Jimmy had a ton of new ideas up his sleeve. Played a 2 humbucker PRS and an all Fender rig including an old Fender leslie style cabinet. His tone was majestic and allowed every nuance to come through. Oteil was simply mind blowing. He contines to push the harmonic envelope. Some of the tonalities he explored in his scat duets with his bass were otherworldy. Truly a unique voice on the instrument and one of the masters. Apt Q-258 slammed as always and is so innovative in his techinques. And Col. Bruce looked happier onstage than I've seen him in years. The combination of Jimmy, Oteil and Sipe is one of the most incredible and interactive power trios in history and their ability to interact musically with each other is unparralleled and almost on a psychic level! Just made me wish these guys were still performing together on a regular basis. |

By the way, I've created a place for show reviews for the future shows (ones I do not immediately ask for) LOL!
