Jazz Is Dead
November 19, 1999
Somerville Theatre, Somerville, MA
DSBD (3 discs)
DISC #1:
Mississippi Half-Step Uptown Toodeloo
Unbroken Chain
Row Jimmy
Here Comes Sunshine
Justice (a T Lavitz tune I believe)
Eyes Of The World
Two Sisters
Estimated Prophet
Help On The Way
Slipknot!
DISC #2:
Weather Report Suite
--Set Break--
Manic Depression
Truckin'
Scarlet Begonias
Casey Jones
Crazy Fingers
St. Stephen
The Eleven
drums
DISC #3:
Terrapin Station
Morning Dew
--Encore--
Darkstar
Blues For Allah
Alphonso Johnson: bass
T Lavitz: keyboards
Jimmy Herring: guitar
Rob Morganstein: drums
Jeff Sipe arrived to sit in on the encore since Leftover Salmon was in Boston on the same night.
It's possible some of the occasional dead air between songs was edited out. I'd have to compare it to an analog master I have if I ever find that as well.
If this goes well and there's some interest shown, in a while I'll vine something else out (probably some ARU).
Discs will be mailed out to jaystraw this Friday.

Well, sure, if anyone else signs up.
I'm using this vine to see how much response is out there. Since there really doesn't seem like much, I'm unfortuately not going to be in a big hurry to make another vine for a while. |

Ah, always glad to stir things up a little bit.
On the other boards I visit, people sign up on the vines by adding their name (screenname or whatever) and their email address and then they go back and edit their posts to let folks know when they have received and mailed out the seed discs so the vines end up looking something like this:
1. joeschmoe - joeschmoe@emailprovider.whatever (IN 3/16 OUT 3/1
2. johndoe - johndoe@anotherprovider.whatever (IN 3/22 OUT 3/23)
3. jane - janedoe@yetanotherprovider.whatever (IN 3/25) |

Eric! Thanks sooo much (you too Jay) Only thing I cant figure out is why the sound guy put such heavy delay on Jimmy's guitar!? I've never heard him use effects that much before. Some parts are pretty neat though when the pattern overlaps and harmonizes!!!

I liked the show, and it happened to be one my friend was at. The only thing I did not like is that really LOUD keyboard synth sound.
Sounds like Vince Wellnick...yuck! _________________
