http://www.archive.org/audio/etreelisting-browse.php?collection=etree&cat=The%20Codetalkers%3A%202005

Has every Codetalkers show available for download or to just stream and rock out to at your computer, including toms of Codetalkers with Jimmy!

Also, if you just search under Jimmy Herring, LOTS of stuff comes up.

Sounds awesome on my headphones!

Enjoy

Thanks to Jonathan Epstein, another half dozen ARU shows have been uploaded to archive.org. I'm streaming 5/21/96 right now and it sounds great. The soundcheck is included at the end. This was one of the shows ARU opened for Bruce Hornsby on the spring '96 tour, and there are some "bonus" tracks of Kofi and Jimmy sitting in with Bruce later that night - but those were uploaded over to bt.etree.org.

The 2.28.91 show has Matt Mundy on 4-string acoustic mandolin. Mundy on 4-string acoustic mando was one of my favorite (but all-too-brief) eras of ARU b/c only having single strings gave him the same agility as on his 5-string electrics, but the 'acoustic' nature of it had more of a true mandolin sound than the 5-string solidbody electrics he played for awhile after that (which to me sounded more like a George Benson electric guitar sound). Anyway, if you like Mundy's sound on 4-string acoustic, I also highly suggest hunting down 3-2-91 from a few days later in Boulder, CO.

Go grab 'em!!

A friend gave me this show to transfer for him. I asked him if
he still had his DAT(m), but he said he lost it a long time ago.
The analog tape is directly from his DAT(m) and sounds pretty good.

Disc 1 is Side A of the tape, Disc 2 is Side B. There is a little
overlap between the d1T09 and d2t02.

Flames, comments, corrections,

Terry Watts
