Hey Kirk, great new forum!....just to run two of your forums together, What gear did Herring use on the first two Jazz is Dead CDs? I have heard that it was a Two Rock Emerald 50 head , or that he used his '72 Marshall 1987 and Fender Showman heads? He had such an amazing tone and does sound a bit like a two rock? How does he do it? thanks

It wasn't a Two Rock. I am pretty sure it was his Fender/ Marshall rig.

I wish he would do some more Jazz is Dead, that was a killer band....and no Phil Lesh vocals. Sorry I love ya Phil...great bass player!Wink

I agree he would sound amazing through a Two Rock!

Have you heard the new signature Custom Reverbs?

Check out these videos.....

Here is a shameless plug for my amp of choice but it was chosen after many hours of listening to ARU shows. www.gerlitzamps.com is the site for all the info. Every time I have seen Jimmy he has had that two (2) mono volume pedal thing for input control to his Marshall and fender rig with the exception of PRS HBII->H&K Tubefactor->twin only. The Gerlitz has a very cool blend thing between a blackface and plexi pre/post amp (read to find out what I am talking about). Check them out.
