Johnny was the opener for B.B.King in Lowell on Jan 5.
Great show! Both for BB and Johnny.
Johnny came out on stage with his two Gibsons, from the JAR looked like 0001 and 0002, in hand . He played them both through and array of pedals into two Marshall 6101s.
I tell you, he is by far one of the best guitar "heros" that I have ever heard live.
My daughter and I both enjoyed the show immensely.
I was thinking about a hollow body, and now am seriously thinking about a JA signature...if only I could play like Johnny... _________________ --

Hi zac!
Welcome to the board and thanks for the great review! I wish I could have gone, but both you and Johnny Z seem to agree, it was a great show! _________________ It is what it is |

zac, check out the Robben Ford forum. Johnny A. gets some good mention and feedback in there. A lot of great people in there too. And, if you're unfamiliar with RF, do yourself a favor and check out his music- you won't regret it!

Yeah, that was a great show. John played well, and Jesse and Chris were terrific as well! Too bad it was such a short set... I guitar-tech'd for John so you probably saw me kicking around.
B.B. was great, too. 79 years old, man! and playing his ass off. I was hanging out with his cousin Walter, the baritone sax player backjstage- what a nice guy- had some great conversations with B.B.'s band.
Here's a couple of pix from that night- Walter and me, and B.B. and me on the bus:
