We all know Mike has been playing Tyler guitars for years now. I was wondering how many of you out there have played or own a Tyler guitar.? I have 2 Tyler classic strats that I love. I saw James Taylor last year, and Mike was touring with him. I saw that he was playing a Tyler, and thought it was cool, so I checked around, and found out who sold them and ordered one without even trying it out. No regrets. Tylers KILL.... |

Besides the two Tylers, I have a John Suhr, and also just got a Fender HWY 1 HSS strat. I have bought, sold, traded all my Fender strats that I have gotten over the years, because most of the time Fender is not to consistent as far as setup, feel, tone, and overall playability, but I really lucked up on the HWY 1 HSS strat. It was set up straight from the factory. Low action, great feeling neck, and great tone. It was also in tune straight out tof the gig bag. For $500.00 you cant beat it for an American made Fender.... I highly recommend it . |

Hello guys! (this is my first post!) I am really interested in the Tyler Landau Classic (with a burning water 2k finish!!!!) . So how does it sound??? I am looking for a liquid and meaty Strat tone (think Hendrix, not early Knopfler) Also I need the bridge position to be fat because I am using lots of preamp gain! (I play with a Bogner XTC Classic) What do you believe? |

Hey Man, welcome to the forum. Well, I cant comment on the Landau model Tyler, because I have two Classic Tylers myself, but I can say I love my two classics. One has a SD JB full humbucker in the bridge, and the other has a SD JB junior hum in the bridge. Both get a real meaty tone. Im sure the Landau Tyler gets great tone, Hey, Mike plays it, Right?
You cant go wrong with a Tyler. You have to play one and experience it for yourself. Like no other guitar out there. Hope this helps. Talk to the guy who posted with his Landau model. He can tell you how it sounds.... |

Hey guys, thanks for the pictures of your Tylers. Im still trying to get a hold of a digital camera to take a snap shot of my two Tyler Classics to post.
I want to ask a question. What makes each of you a Tyler player? Look, Feel, tone, vibe, all of it? Also, Where did you guys buy your Tylers. I bought one from Indoor Storm, and the other one I bought from Wildwood Guitars.... |

All of the above.
Jim's guitars make every instrument I've ever played seem like a chunk of sh*t by comparison in all of these categories.

From James Tyler Guitars in Van Nuys, CA.

I could not get the Psychedelic Vomit out of my head after visiting Tyler guitars website arround 2000-01 (the old grey site...).
Tylers were a bit out of my pricerange then and there was none to try within 3000km so I decided to build a partsocaster inspired by the mighty Tyler!
