Hi I am a proud owner of a Suhr OD100 and its a cracking amp. I know Landau can sound like himself no matter what gear however what speakers has he been known to use in his 4x12's?

He's probably used just about everything at some point, but I heard the 2x12 Brown cab has V30s in it. Someone at CAE mentioned that he likes them cuz they don't blow. Laughing

I read on Mike's web site that he also likes Eminence Tonespotter speakers ... I like them too, they sound thik and smooth with an amazing presence and great low end !

I would say V30's in a closed back 4x12.
G12-65's in an oval open back 2x12.
And he likes the Tone Spotters in the Fender Deville.

I'd go for Weber 1265, it's there version of the Celestion g12-65 and they're really well made.
Otherwise the g12h30 is simular and 4 by 30 watt speakers should be enough as long as you do not crank the amp full up. They sound really good as well. The Tonespotters are Eminence' take on the Celestion g12-65 as far as I know, but I've heard that they have some probems with durabillity, Mike uses these in his Fender Hot Rod combos.

Saw Him a couple nights ago with the 2 Fenders and His sound was amazing. Definitely the best live sound I've ever heard.

Hi,

I puchased a tonespotter five months ago and I really like it !
It's acurate for different kind of amp and very versatile.
It works very well with all my tube amps, 6V6, 6L6, EL84 or EL34, clean crunch or more saturate tone.

It's all good !

Cool

V30s in a closed 412 are just plain awesome! You cannot go wrong there in my world.
