I would recommend a Japanese 62' Reissue over Mexican anyday. I have three currently and one in particular has been compared to an American Custom Shop. The trem blocks are beeter, the workmanship is better and the pickups and electronics are definately better. A hundred or two more will be money well spent. I have an 89' Jap 62 RI now that sounds awesome playing Love Struck, Empty arms etc...the brighter stuff.
You can p/u these up for $450-$600.
