Kirk,
I'm curious. These two DVDs seem so similar. I'm wondering...Is the main difference between the two just the songs covered? I'm not trying to recreate SRV's set list. I'd rather just pick up things to include in my own playing.
"Best of" includes, Ain't Gone 'N' Give Up on Love · Couldn't Stand the Weather · Crossfire · Empty Arms · The House Is Rockin' · Riviera Paradise · Scuttle Buttin' · Stang's Swang.
"SRV's greatest hits" includes, Honey Bee · Lenny · Love Struck Baby · Pride and Joy · Rude Mood · Say What? · The Sky Is Crying · Tightrope. |

Just the songs covered are the differences. The format is like this. Greg comes on and plays the tune. Then takes you step by step through what he just played slowly. He talks about the notes, the techniques and the tones...... _________________ www.online-discussion.com |

Hey Kirk:
I just got my copies of the Greg Koch DVDs yesterday, and they are pretty good. Already picked up a few pointers and copped a few riffs.
Thanks, _________________ JimmyJames |

I haven't seen the DVDs, but I know Greg Koch and he's an amazing player. He's one of those cats who just makes you shake your head and laugh. I've picked up a lot of good stuff watching him play. Again, I haven't seen the DVDs but I'm sure they're very good. _________________ The stars at night are big and bright.... |
