What i am after is the output figures of the pickups.
they are supposed to be the exact spec of stevies guitar, and i wish to have my own wound.
Have tried to get the info from fender but finding it difficult !!!!

| Those strats' price is only topped by their rarity, my friend. If you've got one, you're probably a rich b@st@rd collector who put it in a glass case. I'm not sure about the pickup output though... anyone have the stats? |

| I know a top Fender guy and he swears the very pale wooded bit above the scratchplate is actually gouged out on SRVs No.1 - he says you can see into the cavity underneath the scratchplate! |

I actually held one in my hand about six weeks ago. I belonged to a guitar played from Dallas called Lightning Willie, who was touring here in the UK and was playing at a festival where I was helping out with some jams.
It was very, very nice guitar indeed - very light and with a great neck... not as fat and chunky as the production SRV Strats, if I recall correctly.
The only problem was that Willie showed me it as he was leaving. We were standing in a car park, in light drizzle (well that's Yorkshire for you, folks!) so I didn't 't really get much of a look at it, let along the chance to plug in and play!
A nice guitar, but not really worth $10,000, or whatever they're fetching on eBay these days. |
