They were equivalent to Fender mediums, and he played with the "fat" end.
There are sixteen verified variations of Stevie's custom picks.
I own two of his custom picks.

They were Celluloid Picks, different colors. I have a red one and a confetti red, white, blue, black one.
If you use Fenders Classic Celluloid Confetti picks in mediums, you would be using the same kind of pick as SRV.
In the new book "You can't stop a Comet" from Cutter Brandenburg, Stevies freind annd roadie. Cutter say's, even using the fat end, Stevie went through them fast.
