Listening to Stevie has brought me into regular contact with his bro. His guitar style is really unique, does anyone know of any DVDs or tutor books for this style?
I just got an Albert Lee country session DVD and although I do a pretty good SRV, Alberts DVD left me baffled!

Yeah, Jimmie is really unique, and often doesn't get the respect for being so unique. I remember reading an interview with Henry Garza of Los Lonely Boys where he said that he loved Jimmie's tone with the Thunderbirds, but now that he's doing the finger thing is sounds weird. Which I wholeheartedly disagree with.

Poppa Boom and The Ironic twist are my faves. His take on Texas Flood is ok too - although its a tribute, he doesn't copy his brother at all. He plays it capo'd at third fret. Its a 'less is more' style! For those wanting more SRV style music JLV is a good one to look up.

I always loved Jimmie's playing on DFW from the Family Style album..

Its gotta be on of the nastiest (in a good way) tones/riffs I've heard. Just has a punch to it that is very satisfying..
