I agree, I love the tone on Tin Pan Alley when he used Lipstick, (Charley). |

IMHO dumbles, two-rocks, fuchs's and other botique amps are waaay overpriced for what they are and they are too hard to figure out quickly. plug into a super reverb or twin, crank that sucker and presto! thats all you need to know. |

I recently just purchased a Fender Deville 2x12s and it has an amazing SRV tone. I was very impressed with its sound. _________________ "Music really is a way to reach out and hold on to each other in a healthy way."

Little wing...Vibroverb
I think Texas Flood is a veritable clinic of great tone. I hear a lot of Vibroverb..the 15" just has a "bigness" |

I'm surprised you hear Vibroverb from 'Texas Flood' when it was recorded on a Dumble Dumbleland bass amp. That's how Stevie Ray Vaughan became interested in Dumble amplifiers. _________________ Wishin' you the Blues,

I'm not sure what's in that rack, looks like a tuner, something with a bunch of knobs possibly a preamp, and something else. _________________ Wishin' you the Blues,

btw, if you didnt get one yet, you may want to consider a japanese 62 RI. i just bought one from guitargai.com and I absolutely dig it. according to some folks, some of the japanese made strats are equal or better then some of USA sreissues. Now that would be an interesting topic
interesting read:
