Me thinks there is a Bassman, if not two! Just like Coco said, you can hear the tweed.

Telephone Song sounds like BF Fender to me though...who knows!

Coco,

Voodoo just put up a thread about Sayce in Open Discussion area.

He's definitely good, he can play SRV licks at the speed of light, LOL.

Sometimes he gets a little to rocket fast for me, but I like his energy, not too mention his tone!

I downloaded those vids with him and healy about a month ago, that's some sweet stuff for sure!

I can't seem to get those vids to work on my Mac. Can anybody help?

Cheers

Salty

Jimmie used a Bassman at that time, didn't he? I remember him using one when the Thunderbirds toured in '90 or so, anyway. I wonder if there wasn't a conscious decision for the brothers to ape each other's sound to a certain extent. Or maybe to get back to the simpler times when they were kids, or something. Particularly with the rhythm work, it's kind of hard to tell who did what sometimes.

There's a cool clip of SRV and JLV recording DFW from Family Style on one of the vids I have.

They are both just standing there laughing and having a good time. They're in the same room, trading licks, smiling back at eachother. I'll have to take a look at it again to see if I see any amps. I don't remember see any of them, I would think they had them in a sound booth or something.
