Hey guys what other kinds of music do you like besides SRV, Hendrix and all of the obvious? i kinda like mark knopfler's playing i just can't stand that pop/rock type thing going on especially on his new cd's but he's a great player , definetly unique.

Does anybody like ERIC JOHNSON??? I have never really listen'd to any of hi sstuff but a firend of mine play'd SRV by EJ the other day and I love'd it.

Does anyone know any other good Bluesy Eric Johnson songs????

I don't really like the Outter Space type stuff he does and that is most of what I download'd from WinMX, I was just downloading EJ songs hoping to get soemthing Blues'e BUT all I got was Steve Vai type stuff.

dude, just listen for yourself. Find some Eric Johnson websites and do some research on him and his music. I'm sure you can find clips and songs over the net (legally) and if you're THAT interested just go out and buy one of his CD's. I personally like what I've heard of Johnson but then again I'm not a big fan and I don't listen to him that often.

BTW TT, that song Train Tracks by Ian Moore is BOMB!

I tried but could never get into EJ. I don't care how technically sound you are or if you can tell me what brand of battery is in your pedal, if you can't write a good song I'm not interested.

I know that doesn't help you '62 but you may find yourself thinking the same thing.

too many great players i love to mention, but here lately i've been on a RORY GALLAGHER kick.

i also love henry garza'a playing with los lonely boys, combining carlos santana with stevie makes for a great vibe.
