It got hurt pretty badly but recovered!
No it wasn't wound.
If you do a search theres an old Guitar Player interview with his guitar tech he tells you his set up - intonation, nuts and strings etc. One of the guys I'm sure will give us the link.
Most guys will tell you on this site though, at least 70% of Stevie was in his fingers. He used lots of different amps and guitars but his tone was was always recognisable as SRV.
Unfortunately in some ways this has become a negative thing as every new young blues player has to unfairly be compared to him and has the style as a sort of unatainable benchmark. |

Haha Russell
Hmm cool, I'll do a search. Oh well, guess I've gotta live with my strings. My third string is wounded. Making it so hard to bend, hehe just gotta keep practising! Woohoo.
EDIT: I tried looking for the article you were talking abt, but couldn't
Do you have it somewhere under favorities? |

Yeah, Stevie constantly tinkered around with equipment. That lets me know that it's all in his hands. So I don't even try to replicate that tone. _________________ "The blues is an emotionally pure form of music.
