I keep thinking that it doesn't sound like a strat to me. I was wondering if anyone else thinks it might be his 335? |

JSRV - it definitely doesn't sound like a typical strat tone. It could be a Strat into a screaming Marshall, because its definitley not a strat into any blackface style amp. There's way to much midrange.
Maybe there is some truth to your hollowbody theory?
But its hard to believe that he would use the hollowbody for a whole show, ya know? |

Yeah it is hard to believe. I've come the closest to that tone with a Danelectro 56-U2 reissue w/ a tubescreamer and an old super reverb I had.
I never even thought about a marshall though. I've never played a strat through any kind of marshall. |
