Closing Time Tune is fast becoming my favorite. That or Couldn't Stand The Weather... or Rude Mood. |

If we include Stevie's covers of Jimi Hendrix songs, than "Voodoo Chile" and "Little Wing" are certainly up there. His versions really do rival Jimi's. There are times, I admit, when I'd rather listen to SRV do Jimi then Jimi do himself... |

Mine is life without you has been for a number of years now too, just love the live versions and the 2 long solo's he plays, and being based on or sounding like my favourite hendrix track bold as love makes that even better. _________________ Christopher X |

The version they had on the 'Live Alive' vinyl version is a bit of a shambles though! |

It sounded alright to me,but then its my favourite song,i to be honest like it when the talks are real short,i would have rather have lon solo's,and that version is not one of my favourites either as its also cut short at the end or fades out, missing the end solo.
One of the better live ones, maybe the only official one i think is the one on the remastered in step cd,thats a smoking one for shure. _________________ Christopher X |

I can't pick a favorite SRV song, I love all of them!
If I had to pick, it would be Texas Flood, it's the song that turned me on to Stevie. I remember hearing it the first time when it came out and my mouth hitting the floor, just being blown away. I have been a fan ever since. |
