Hey Scott, hope the shows are rockin and the traveling isn’t too bad! I saw a pic of you playing somewhere on instagram. Are you using the voodoo-1 instead of the sh9? Reasons?

The SH9/ SD-9 don't fit the kind of music I'm playing on the road, which is more about dynamics than the very compressed sound those type of pedals produce. They're great for legato playing, but they make it difficult to play soft notes, and that's more important to me.

The Voodoo-1 is nice in combination before a boost pedal like an RC Booster or Tube Screamer. It adds a deep low end without interfering with the midrange. It's a great way to get more bass without getting it from the amp, which in my opinion always sucks.

Hi Scott,
Do you have a specific effect for the Karnevel melody on your pedalboard? The one that sounds like a sitar. I kinda heard it but I was too close to the stage and too far from your amp to be able to tell.

The new tunes sound epic live too and you're all burning!

Thanks Thanasis! That's just the RC Booster on the melody, but I'm picking really close to the bridge which gives it a more sitar-like tone. I could get even closer to a sitar if I used the Octavia, but I also play chords in that section and the Octavia would make them too distorted.
