That Metheny article was spot-on. It was also the diss to end all disses Laughing Kenny G redefines the concept of hack.

If I didn't know it was Pat Metheny talking, I might have guessed Frank Zappa. Metheny usually seems like such a cheery and mellow cat. Obviously Kenny G. is a brilliant marketer-- like the McDonald's of sax players, mediocre product but playing on every corner. I don't even think KG is aware of the sacriledge he's committed. For his sake, someone better let him know to stay away from Pat Metheny.
