Scott have you heard of this system yet?

http://www.truetemperament.com/site/index.php

For a guy with as much of a chord vocabulary as you, and with your "super ears", you might be interested in this. Also, i don't know if you still keep in touch with Holdsworth, but he has this fretting system on his new strandberg* guitar, so maybe you could check his out to see what you think.

On a semi-related topic, have you ever tried, or do you have any interest in a fretless guitar?

THanks for taking time to answer our questions!

I've tried it and to be honest I didn't notice much of a difference from the Buzz Feiten system I have on a few of my guitars. I'm so used to guitars being a little out of tune that it really doesn't bother me much anyway.

I'm not interested in fretless guitar - I use the bar to slide into notes, probably too often.

Thanks for the reply.
I do know a lot of people who complain that you use the bar so much, but screw 'em- i really admire how you've incorporated it into your style. I think at this point it's part of your unique voice on the guitar.
