Hi Scott,

I'm a big Leslie sound fan, I've been using the Arion chorus for that for years and I'm thinking of a machine really dedicated to that tone with all the slow/fast functionality in not a too big enclosure.

How does the Arion compare with the Strymon Lex in your opinion? I read somewhere that you recently picked the latter up.

Thanks for your time!

All the best,
W.

The Arion makes a great leslie sound, but the Lex has so many more parameters to play with - it's an amazing pedal and sounds more like a real leslie than the Arion, though I prefer the regular chorus sound of the Arion. I also bought a Strymon Ola, and again, more parameters and it's stereo which is useful for recording.

For stage I'll keep using the Arion because it's small and does a good job of both leslie and chorus, and I'll use the Strymon pedals more for recording.

Hey Scott,

Thanks for your reply!

How do you go about recording with stereo effect pedals?

Thanks!

It usually involves recording two amps at once, unless one side of the effect is something which would work going directly to the track, like a weird delay or something.

If it's a chorus or leslie effect, I usually go for a different EQ on either side, a Fender/4x12 that's kinda scooped with more treble and bass, and a Marshall/2x12 which favors the mids.
