Despite two years of effort on my part to improve the quality of my live recordings to a point where Scott would okay them for the site, Scott recently decided not to let it happen. Here's the argument: To me it's about WHAT he played. To him it's about the TONE he played it with. I'm recording with the Core binaural stereo mics to a TRV-900 DV video camera at 48k/16 bit. I think I got a few great recordings , but obviously, to Scott, who spends a lot of hours getting his tones just right for recording, the results are unsatisfactory. And then there's the mp3 encoding. So I don't blame Scott for his decision, I'm just bummed that you all can't hear some of the most ungodly guitar playing ever to grace the planet.
