Hello Scott, I recently read an interview with Mike Landau in which he was asked about alternate tuning in his playing. He went on to mention that he had learned from Joni Mitchell to tune the D string to E, I tried it and OH MAN! what a world of possibilities it opened up. I would like to ask if you like to use any alternate tuning and if so how do you go about it?? Thanks

I've never used alternate tunings, though I can clearly see a benefit to using them. I guess it's something I never felt like experimenting with - I have a hard enough time with the normal tuning.
