So I'm starting to get back into guitar building and I want to try making a headless guitar. Strandberg guitars have a unique body design but they also use fanned frets. It seems Carvin (now Keisel, spelling?) are offering fanned fretsbut usually on 7, 8 or more stringed guitars. I understand the concept but the also have a unique neck profile where it's not round like a typical guitar neck. The designer says his neck contour allows the wrist to be held at a "better" angle to minimize fatigue and hand strain.

Your thoughts?

Thanks bud,
Chris

I'm the wrong guy to ask - I've never tried them. I saw a guitar with fanned frets at a music store one time and it looked so weird that I wasn't inspired to try it. The guy told me the tuning is better, but I'm constantly out of tune anyway so that wouldn't matter to me.
