Scott Henderson Discussion

Hey everyone....just registered. This is a great idea for a board! I've been listening to Scott's music for several years now and I've never had the oportunity to talk to anyone else who really appreciates his playing.

I first discovered SH probably around 1999 when I was just starting to get into a lot of fusion stuff. At the time I was all into tons of prog rock and metal stuff, and was exlporing other musical avenues. Through word of mouth I bought a copy of Tribal Tech's Illicit cd and was totally blown away! I had never (and still haven't) heard any guitarist with such a unique style. What hooked me was the combination of power and feeling in his playing, much like Stevie Ray Vaughan, combined with the harmonic complexity and fluidity similar to Allan Holdsworth. I have since gotten most Tribal Tech CDs and most of Scott's side projets....although I still need to get his first 2 solo blues CDs. I also picked up his two instructional videos which have been very helpful and have substantially improved my guitar playing.

Anyway.....great board....looking forward to frequently checking this place out.
