Well, well. Between Steve's new Cripe and all this sudden enthusiasm regarding an informative website I'm on information overload. The New Year has certainly been very fruitful. To all those involved thank you very much for those wonderful photos and any upcoming work you may do. If there's anything I can do to help out, just let me know.

Hello all,

It has taken a few years but I was inspired by this thread and recently published this website. I consider it a start but there are a lot of holes in the story of Steve Cripe and his guitars. Since launching the site a few weeks ago, I have heard from several people and will have additions and corrections to make but will do them in batches over time. Anybody with information to share or facts to correct, please post them or contact me.

Thanks to Steve Kimock for his support of this project and many, many others. Hope you enjoy!

Steve Armato

Will do, Steve. Looks like Res Guitars was taking a more "warm mahogany" approach than Cripe.

There was another Cripe up on eBay recently, shaped more like Steve's. It sold earlier this week for approx. $7k+ (can't remember) but the listing is now completely gone - removed by eBay. It had an ebony top layer, very nice looking guitar. IIRC, the high bidder had zero feedback so maybe he/she flaked. It may pop up again...
