of me, all along!
Looking at the Harmonic Series of a Major Triad on a Single String, I realized a correlation to our Spanish, or "Standard" Tuning and some of the more common Chord Forms.
2/1 Tonic (An Octave UP)
I'll start with the 12th. Fret Harmonic which is the 2/1
4/1 Octave of the Tonic
Now, taking the 5 CAGED Forms and breaking them down further, you get 2 Basic Chord Forms:
I'll call them Form 1 and Form 2
Form 1 is the 4 String E, A, and D Chord Form.
Form 2 is the 4 String G and C Chord Form.
Looking at Form 1 from Lowest String to Highest, it goes:
This is the same order as the Harmonics on the String and how they spell out the Major Triad.
Don't really know where to go with this yet, or if it's of any real consequence. Just thought it was interesting, and worthy of further research. _________________ "Real Tomato Ketchup, Roy?"
