Holy blessed mother of all known and unknown gods

I've been listening to _Calcutta Slide Guitar_ for a while now but seeing him do it in the flesh is a whole 'nother thing entirely. His brother Subashish on tabla and his daughter Anandi on vocals are also intergalactic-class musicians in their own right, but I had trouble tearing my eyes away from the man with the slide.

If you don't know...you need to know. Even at the risk of driving yourself to despair over your slide playing. Me, I've got the tricone in my lap right now. I figure 10, maybe 12 more lifetimes and I'll have it.

He's the man, for sure. Wish he'd come by my neck of the woods. A few years back on another forum, The topic of Bhattacharya and VM Bhatt came up. Bob Brozman, who is a madman in his own right and who has played with both of them, took everybody by surprise by chiming in in no uncertain terms that Bhattacharya was a far better player than Bhatt! I have to say I agree but it surely was unusual to hear another pro be so forthcoming about it.
