The global Electrochromic glass market was valued at $1.4 billion in 2019 and is projected to reach $2.6 billion by 2027, growing at a CAGR of 9% from 2020 to 2027. Electrochromic glass is a kind of a smart glass, which changes its transparency when a voltage is passed through it. The glass changes its transparency to opaque or translucent depending on the voltage applied to it. This electrochromic glass is used in non-residential buildings such as offices, hospitals, and hotels all over the world. It is very efficient in energy conservation and does not allow excess heat to enter a room, thus keeping the room cooler during summer and cutting the cost of air conditioning.
