I got a Musician's Friend catalog in themail today. Browsing through it this evening, MF is selling the Johnny A guitar for $3599. I don't know why I'm surprised to see it in a catalog, but I was. Go figure. _________________ Enjoy every sandwich |

Jump to this thread- it'll explain everything... http://www.online-discussion.com/JohnnyA/viewtopic.php?t=17.
One thing about the Musician's Friend Johnny A. guitars is that there is no color option- they're all the same sunburst color. It also comes with a Bigsby. But the price is about as low as you can get. Someone in here mentioned getting one from a dealer at a lower price, but I think that's an exception.

Really? JA066 cost me less than that, and it was a special order. _________________ Enjoy every sandwich |

Well, perhaps and probably I'm wrong! I am assuming that Musician's Friend is offering it at a "lowest price", and that dealers, with their higher store overheads, must need to charge more than MF to sustain their businesses. Also, I did inquire with a dealer who does both internet and store businesses, and the asking price was $900 more than the MF price, and after "markdown", it was still $400 more than MF's. And, the only difference I was aware of was a different finish color which most likely isn't a $400 difference...
Whatever- I ain't gots one, and probably won't ever gets one, no matter how much I wants one...

Well, I must have gotten an exceptionally good deal. 163 cost me less than $xxxx, and that included overnight shipping. That's a nice change! I typically buy high and sell low - not a plan, it's just the way it works out. _________________ JA 163 |
